The match was played on the 14th July and Hartshill had the home advantage.
There was a good turnout of members to support the team and cheer them to victory in the regional final of the WFA National Cup Over 65s v. Burntwood.

It was a tight match last night with John Cooper scoring in the 3rd minute. It looked all done and dusted but in the dying seconds of the game, Burntwood equalised so it went to extra time & penalties. Hartshill converted 2 of the 3 penalties to the visitors’ 1, with evergreen Dave Seddon brilliantly saving the other 2. A great performance.

If the Hartshill team can beat Matlock in the next round a place in the national finals will be their prize – for the second year running. Truly a tremendous achievement.
